Mercure Hotel Koblenz

We were overall happy with our hotel choice. It’s not near the city centre, and since it was very windy and cold during our stay, we regretted a tiny bit not having chosen a more central hotel. We also found the access to the hotel, especially by car but also when on foot, a bit confusing, as you have to go under a bridge, but take a few turns as well, and you keep taking the wrong path at the beginning. But when we booked our accommodation we wanted a place with easy parking, and it was the case (several parking spots available, on several floors, and not tight). Expect 20 euros per day/night. Apart from the distance (which was ok to do when it wasn’t as cold and windy), the room was comfortable and clean. The staff was also very friendly but professional. The breakfast buffet was also generous and on weekends it goes to noon, so it’s perfect if you need to rest. The view from our room was also very nice, we could see the Rhine river and the fortress (and even some cable cars!). There’s also a restaurant but we didn’t try it. Recommended!

Secure underground parking (€13 when you validate your ticket at reception, otherwise €20 for one night). Easy to find following Sat nav. Check in staff were great, as was breakfast.

Friendly and professional staff. Lovely location on the Rhein, close to the city centre. Excellent breakfast buffet selection. Good facilities.

Everything was great. No complaints, staff were great, breakfast was great and aside from the roadworks outside the bedroom (which the hotel are not responsible for) an excellent stay.

Paid for a privilege room with river view and it was fantastic. The view was brilliant, the room spacious, very modern and clean. Lift to floor 9 was fast and no queues. Everything in room and common area looked fresh. No sign of wear or tiredness. Bed was huge. Good shower with strong pressure and quick to heat up despite being on floor 9.
